DAKE notes...

"And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors. But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve." (Luke 22:25-26, KJV).

"What a time to have strife! At the very time they should have been concerned about Christ and His sufferings....To have strife was enough in itself, but to have no concern over Him, and to strive over being someone great to take over after He died was a disgrace. Now we see the same devilish spirit being manifested in all religious circles over position, power and authority. Can we ever learn the lessons Christ taught?"

reference: Luke 22:26 "...he that is greater as the younger"

"younger"--A listener, learner and servant, rather than a teacher, director and commander.

reference: Matthew 20:26 "....it shall not be so among you"

This was the original and eternal purpose, not an historical fact.

Thank you Mr. Dake!
